[Game Design] Space Bar Game #6 - Player Motivations

Space Bar game (minimal viable product) is designed by a group of students in the Centre for Digital Media in 2018. This article analyzes players' motivations.

2. Mandatory

  • Go for the sling

  • Go to the checkpoints

  • Avoid other grapplers

  • Find guns



Reinforcement schedule: The game’s reinforcement schedule will be based on the location of the obstacles and the game design, creating a player’s anticipation of receiving them, creating a cycle of anticipation that will make the player stay engaged.
