[Summer Project] CyberPatient ER #7 - Midterm Review

Our team is building the 3D multiplayer simulation CyberPatient ER. We have proceeded to the middle of the production. It’s time to do a quick review of our most recent activities.

On-going research

A long time ago, our team started researching things related to our topic. We read over 600 pages of documents and medical papers, trying to equip ourselves with the knowledge needed for this project. We have studied different vital signs and familiarized ourselves with common medical practice procedures. We want to do our best in creating the most realistic experience for our users.

User tests

We have done several rounds of user tests since we first started prototyping. We have tested a couple of UX/UI features, and many of the features are tested in collaboration with members of our cohort. Our classmates are very supportive and have provided us with constructive feedback.

Ups and downs

Last week, team morale was running high, as we accomplished a crucial milestone. Furthermore, over the course of this project, the collaboration between the design and development teams has significantly improved.

However, long discussions regarding design and development challenges have taken place over these two weeks. While things don’t always go as planned, it’s important for us to keep a positive attitude, and maintain team morale. Otherwise, we may not be able to face the challenges ahead in the following weeks.
